Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PawSolids mobile application and the website at pawsolids.com(together, the "Service"), which are operated by Olha Hrynkiv, an individual sole trader based in Ukraine ("PawSolids," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed at children under 13.

2. Your account

To use most features you need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. Notify us immediately at support@pawsolids.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. License to use the Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Service on devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.

4. Subscriptions and payments

  • Certain features (collectively, "Pro") require a paid subscription. Prices and billing periods are shown at purchase and may vary by region.
  • Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and billed to your store account. Payments, taxes, refunds, renewals, and cancellations are governed by the store's terms.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. You can cancel at any time in your store account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • Refunds are handled directly by Apple or Google in accordance with their policies. We have no ability to process store refunds.
  • Free trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

5. Your content

You retain all rights in the content you create or upload, including pet profiles, logs, notes, and stool-scan photos ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, limited license to host, store, transmit, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you, including by processing photos through the AI-powered stool scanner as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to upload Your Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party right.

6. AI features and health disclaimer

The Service includes AI-powered features, including symptom-to-meal correlation and the stool scanner. These features produce statistical insights and general informational content.

PawSolids is not a medical device. The Service does not provide veterinary or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any decision regarding your pet's health. Never disregard professional veterinary advice or delay seeking it because of information you read in the Service. If you believe your pet is in a medical emergency, contact a veterinarian or emergency clinic immediately.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make in reliance on the Service.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or violates the rights of others.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or circumvent any technical limitation, security feature, or rate limit of the Service.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service except as explicitly permitted.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Use the Service to harass, harm, impersonate, or send unsolicited communications to others.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, our infrastructure, or the experience of other users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, trademarks, and logos (other than Your Content), is owned by PawSolids or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property and other laws. Except for the license granted in Section 3, these Terms do not transfer any rights to you.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, PostHog, our AI provider, and Cloudflare) and may link to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAWSOLIDS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW (FOR EXAMPLE, LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PawSolids harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Profile → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5 second paragraph, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16) will survive.

14. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change, add, or remove features of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts located in Ukraine will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Where mandatory local consumer-protection laws apply to you, nothing in these Terms deprives you of the rights granted by those laws.

16. Apple App Store additional terms

If you obtained the Service from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply: (a) these Terms are between you and PawSolids only, not with Apple; (b) Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service; (c) in case of failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever; (d) Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service; (e) Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

17. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PawSolids regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
